If you love an appetizer dip as much as I do you are going to want to make my recipe for cast iron Pizza dip, or my hot artichoke spinach dip. And if you have an extra of dried chipped beef you are DEFINITELY going to want to make a chipped beef cheese ball or chipped beef on toast.
For those new here I also have a runaway popular post on how to clean a sticky wooden banister.

📝 Frequently asked questions, answers and tips:
What is chipped beef?
Chipped beef is slated, smoked dried beef that has been sliced paper-thin. Chipped beef was once an American kitchen staple and is also known as dried beef. Look for chipped beef in small jars or plastic zip bags at the grocery store.
What is in chipped beef dip?
There are different variations of the classic warm chipped beef dip recipe but this recipe has cream cheese, sour cream, a dash of Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder diced green onions and of course, shredded chipped beef.
Other additions could be diced green peppers, diced onions, horseradish or even corn kernels and chopped pecans. Feel free to adjust this recipe to make it your own.
What do you serve dried beef dip on?
I will serve the chipped beef dip with anything crunchy and able to scoop up the dip. Fritos, corn chips, slices of toasted baguette or pumpernickel slices are always a good idea.
Can chipped beef dip be made ahead of time?
Chipped beef dip is the perfect appetizer that can be made ahead. In fact, I think the recipe is even more delicious if the ingredients are able to marinate for 1-2 hours or overnight. Keep the dip covered and in the refrigerator until it is time to heat the dip for serving.
How do you reheat chipped beef dip?
I am a fan of reheating chipped beef dip in the oven. I place it in an unheated oven and then heat the oven to 350. By the time the oven comes to temperature, the dip has also come to temperature.
But if an oven is not available or if you are short on time, microwaving the hot beef dip in 30-second intervals is also a great option. Just be sure to stir it to distribute any hot pockets.
How long can chipped beef dip be kept in the refrigerator?
If you have leftovers, and that is a big if, I will keep the dip covered in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. There might be some separation of liquid from the dip. This is not a problem. Just stir it back in as you heat it.
Cream cheese dip recipes
I always have a block of cream cheese in the refrigerator to pull out to whip up a tasty dip to enjoy while watching a football game or when I need an easy appetizer to serve to party guests. My chef tip for making recipes with cream cheese is to be sure to allow the full fat cream cheese to come to room temperature so you have a delicious dip every time.
